Continuing
our decade-long advancement of workplace wellness, and following
our 2007 designation as the nation's first "Well State",
the Council has embarked upon a "new beginning" for
workplace wellness in Rhode Island:
Our vision is to see a wellness program in every
workplace in Rhode Island.
The
Worksite Wellness Council of Rhode Island is dedicated to improving
the health of working Rhode Islanders. To that end, we work to
identify and advance evidence-based worksite wellness programs
and measure their local impacts.

approach.

advance worksite wellness through advocacy, information
and technical assistance and resource development.

contribute to the achievement of state and national
health promotion objectives.

support employer health care cost control efforts through

and provide employer models for worksite wellness regardless
