The Well Workplace Award was established in 1991 as an international recognition program of the Wellness Councils of America. Through organized programs, wellness initiatives assist employees and their family members to make voluntary behavior changes that reduce their health risks and enhance their individual well-being.

As designated Well Workplaces, these organizations and their employees are part of the 20% of working Rhode Islanders needed to reach the Well State vision.
